What would normally take you several hours of grinding in the Krypt can apparently be done within a few minutes, thanks to a new glitch in Mortal Kombat 11.

Shang Tsung’s island is full of surprises. There are many doors and gates that need to be opened, chests to find and unlock, relics to retrieve, secrets to unearth, dangers to survive, and puzzles to solve. One of many such challenges requires you to collect the severed heads of characters from the roster and impale them on display in the Warrior Shrine.

This is easier said than done and incredibly tedious. You have to perform 50 Fatalities against a character in one of the Towers of Time before obtaining their head. What the recently discovered glitch does is that it allows you to impale every head without collecting them first. Thus, removing the grinding aspect in entirety.

Start by loading into the Krypt and heading out to the display wall in the Warrior Shrine. Approach any empty spike to trigger a prompt that says “Locked.” Immediately pause the game and escape to the main menu. Now load back into the Krypt while holding down X on PlayStation 4, A on Xbox One, B on Switch, or E on PC. Once back into the Warrior Shrine, release the button and approach the same empty spike to trigger a cut-scene that impales the head on display and unlocks its related rewards.

From hereon, you can repeat the same process over and over again to impale all of the heads, which should take not more than five minutes. In comparison, it would other wise take at least twenty hours depending on the Towers of Time and your own skill.

Do take note of a few things though. Firstly, make sure to not open any chests or interact with any objects after loading back into the Krypt to prevent the glitch from breaking. Secondly, as mentioned several times already, it’s a glitch in Mortal Kombat 11. NetherRealm Studios will probably patch it out very soon. The developer could even inflict punishments on players who knowingly used the glitch for their own benefits. Hence, it’s up to you if you want to take advantage of the time until the hot-fix arrives or not.

Mortal Kombat 11 recently received patch 1.03 that addressed many concerns about the Towers of Time. They have been adjusted to be much more rewarding and easier.
